Our hearts go out to all of those who have experienced the tragedy of the North Bay fires. So many people’s worlds have turned upside down. In the construction industry we’ve seen many tradesmen among those of who have had to put their work lives on hold to make sure their homes and personal matters are safe. Our hopes are that this disaster ends soon so our community can quickly rebuild.
With Thanksgiving coming up next month we are reminded that the people that we have in our lives are what we are truly the most grateful for…
Wishing everyone peace and healing as a community,

An interview with officemorph’s
Project Manager, Caitlin Cappa Nunez
Q – How did you develop your passion for our industry?
A – I have always worked at jobs where collaboration is the key to a successful product, and nowhere is that more important than in construction. Any construction project that we deliver is so clearly the sum of it’s many parts, and only by working together can you ever really build something. I have been in the construction
industry since 2012, and the people of this industry are what make it great. I also truly enjoy being able to join a project team, work towards a goal together, and then look at the finished project and celebrate!
Q – This is an industry that tends to historically be male dominated but more woman are being drawn to construction project management and the construction “world”. Tell us about your involvement with NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction).
A – I joined the San Francisco chapter of NAWIC back in 2013, and the board in 2014. NAWIC’s events are amazing opportunities to learn more about the industry, as well as connect with women from all aspects of construction. Thanks to my last company, I was also able to lead a job site tour event for NAWIC of Salesforce Tower. Whether it is with a real estate broker or a general contractor, NAWIC has allowed me so many opportunities to meet the women who are a part of this industry.
Q – What are you most excited about in your new role with officemorph?
A – So many things! I am thrilled to be joining the officemorph team, and begin to be part of projects from the very beginning. I am especially excited to help new start-ups move into bigger offices, help them remodel, pick furniture, and truly make their new office “home.”
Q – Working on any interesting projects right now?
A – officemorph has 11 active projects right now, so I am working on getting as caught up as I can as quickly as I can! One that has been awesome to jump in to is the Easterseals project. Easterseals offers amazing resources to more than a million people and families living with disabilities.
We are helping them move into a new space in Dublin. With tons of glass, custom wood ceiling sections, a pool table room, and a custom curved reception desk, this project is a very stylish one. I’m excited to help make their new space a reality.
Q – In your free time, you love listening to music and seeing live bands. Best recent concert?
A – I do! The most recent show I went to was Rüfüs du Sol at the Fox. It was awesome!
